El diseño de concepts ha sido un instrumento que moldea las visiones de futuro posible, y prepara a las personas para aceptar nuevas soluciones. En esta charla propongo discutir el impacto de los concepts, prototipos y otros artefactos de diseño-ficcion en nuestra concepción de los futuros, y como las nuevas herramientas de maquetado y testeo desdibujan los límites entre lo real y la ficción.

First degreed on Industrial Design, at Buenos Aires' University, I'm member of several research groups since 2000, within FADU-UBA, UNGS and UNQ. I teach at Industrial Design (FADU-UBA, since 2001, and UNAHUR, since 2019) and Textile Engeneering (UTN-FRBA, since 2012) at degree level, at Postgraduate level in the Program of Strategic Design Management (FADU-UBA), Master in Innovación Management (UBA) Master in Business Management and Analytics (UTDT) and at Master in Science, Technology and Society (UNQ). Nowadays I'm coordinator of Innovation Program, within the Secretary of Innovation and Technology Transfer of UNQ. I have had the pleasure of leading Metropolitan Institute of Design and Innovation, whithin Metropolitan Design Center (CMD), which depends of Buenos Aires City Government, between 2005 and 2008. I've conducted researches on strategic design and innovation, based on product differentiation, competitiveness improvement and consumer experiences creation through design. Also, I've also coordinated training and transference activities of CMD, and was in charge of conception and content planning of CMD Conference, in its first three editions (2005, 2006 y 2007). I've been invited as teacher and speaker of several educative and public institutions in Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, México, Uruguay and Chile, as in diverse academic and promotion events related to design. I've published several scientific and divulgation articles, co-author of the books “Through and about the product” (2005) “Through experiences” (2006), "Design in process" (2008) and "10 years of CMD" (2012) and was member of editorial committee of Interfase Magazine (IF-CMD). In present, I work as independent consultant on product and services design and development for companies, professionals and public sector.
