Every technical organization has two systems running at the same time: the software stack and the culture stack. One is documented in repos, tickets, incident reports, and architecture diagrams; the other shows up in who speaks up, what gets hidden, how risk is escalated, how decisions are made, and whether teams learn after outages or AI rollouts. This session treats culture as operational infrastructure for IT work. Attendees will learn a simple culture audit for technical teams: what gets rewarded, what gets ignored, where psychological safety breaks, how documentation habits shape trust, and how leadership behavior affects security, accessibility, DevSecOps, incident response, and AI adoption. The takeaway is a practical checklist leaders, managers, and individual contributors can use to make culture visible, repair friction, and build teams that adapt before change turns into crisis.
