Generative AI (GenAI for short) has given developers the power to dream bigger dreams and build complex systems more rapidly and efficiently than ever before. In this talk, Jeff will share some of the lessons that Amazon has learned while using GenAI to build mission-critical system software. He will also share some thoughts and recommendations on the best ways for the newest generation of developers to grow and thrive in this new and exciting world. Sobre Jeff Barr: eff Barr is Vice President and Chief Evangelist at Amazon Web Services, where he raises awareness among software developers about the potential to innovate and build businesses using AWS. Jeff has been in the software business since he was 16 and has worked at startups, large companies, and even had his own consulting practice. He brings genuine passion to technical evangelism and inspires developers to explore new technologies. After 20 years and over 3,000 posts on the AWS News Blog, he retired as their main writer in December 2024. Jeff now focuses his time creating developer-focused content, speaking globally at AWS events and building - using everything from code and electronic components, to LEGO bricks. Show less
