Streamers, YouTubers, TikTokers, podcasters and photographers: this is the practical guide to covering the event. What you can record, where to work and how to arrange an interview.
An open event worth telling
Nerdearla is an event open to the community, and we love it when people share what happens during those days. We invite journalists, media, streamers, YouTubers, TikTokers, podcasters, photographers and content creators from any platform to make content about the event.
You can record videos, take photos, go live, interview attendees and document your experience throughout the event, always respecting the people you share the space with.
Spaces and equipment
- 📶 Free Wi-Fi. Across the whole venue, for the entire event.
- 💻 Coworking area. To edit videos, upload content, charge devices or work between activities.
- 🎥 Bring your gear. Cameras, microphones, tripods, lights and accessories, as long as they do not get in the way of circulation or block the audience's view.
If your production needs a special setup or anything out of the ordinary, write to us in advance so we can look into it.
Good practices
Thousands of people share the same hallways for five days. These are the rules that let all of us work.
✅ We recommend
- Being respectful with attendees, speakers, sponsors and staff.
- Keeping the volume reasonable when recording interviews or content in shared spaces.
- Asking first before doing long interviews or recording very close to someone.
- Putting the normal flow of talks and activities first.
- Following the instructions of the organising and volunteer teams.
- Respecting our code of conduct.
- Always looking after your gear and belongings.
❌ Avoid
- Interrupting a talk to get a photo, video or statement.
- Blocking hallways, entrances or exits with recording equipment.
- Invading the personal space of attendees or speakers.
- Recording inside areas restricted to the organisation.
- Recording or photographing people without their consent.
They are out in the hallways
Nerdearla is, above all, a community event.
The vast majority of our speakers enjoy talking with attendees, answering questions, taking photos and meeting the community. During the on-site days it is very common to find them walking the hallways, visiting stands, attending other talks or hanging out in the common areas.
If you run into them, feel free to say hello. We only ask that you do it respectfully, keeping in mind that they may be on their way to give a talk, in a meeting, or simply taking a break.
🚪 Speaker Lounge
The space where speakers wait before their presentations is a private area for them to prepare their talks, rest or meet with the organisation. For that reason, attendees, press and content creators cannot access it.
Interviews and accreditation
In some cases we can arrange interviews with speakers, sponsors or members of the organisation. Since many of our guests have very tight schedules during the event, requests have to be made in advance and are subject to availability.

Nerdearla is a free event open to the public, so we have no priority entry or special accreditation for content creators or press. All the official material, images, logos and event figures are right below.
