As Chief Scientist for Software Engineering at IBM, his current work focuses on embodied cognition - AI systems that interact with the physical world. He served as a trustee of the Computer History Museum and delivered the Turing Lecture for the British Computer Society. At a time when AI is redefining what it means to write code, Booch brings four decades of perspective on why software engineering is not ending but entering what he calls "The Third Golden Age."
